Pathfinders
Indigenous Skills Mentorship
We hope to empower Indigenous youth by connecting them with skilled mentors who can guide them in traditional practices, life skills, and cultural knowledge, fostering a strong sense of identity and community.
Skills Menu
Youth can choose from, including but not limited to:
- Fishing and hunting techniques
- Horsemanship
- Traditional sewing and beadwork
- Indigenous cooking and food preservation
- Storytelling and oral history
- Language lessons
- Drum-making and other traditional crafts
- Medicinal plant identification and use
- Traditional games and sports
- Environmental stewardship practices
This program will offer a unique, culturally-rich mentorship experience for Indigenous youth, allowing them to choose their own learning paths while connecting with knowledgeable mentors from their community.

Youth Advocacy Summit
Our Indigenous Youth Advocacy Program is nurturing a new generation of change-makers, equipped with the knowledge, skills, and passion to create a brighter future. These young champions are committed to advocating for policy change, land stewardship, and important causes like Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women (MMIW) initiatives.
The Indigenous Youth Advocacy Summit (IYAS), is a dynamic gathering of youth and allies committed to driving positive change in our communities. This transformative event will equip you with the knowledge, skills, and inspiration needed to become Champions of Change in North Central Washington.
